• 16.02.2024 – Alexey Navalny murdered in the prison «Kharp» in Far North of Russia by Putin and state apparatus under Putin’s command,
• 17.02.2024 – first flowers were brought by people in Antwerp on the monument of Peter de Grote on Kloosterstraat,
• 18.02.2024 – more flowers and candles were brought, first photos of Alexey and posters brought, «Alexei Navalny 1976 – 2024. Fought for freedom in Russia, killed by putin», «Putin killed Navalny, Stop Putin, Support Ukraine», and more information about Navalny, both in English and Dutch,
• 20.02.2024 – The entire postament where Peter de Grote stands is full of flowers, candles, posters and photos of Alexei, «Putin kills everyday! The world needs to stop him and his terror!!! R.I.P. Alexey»,
• 22.02.2024 – all flowers and posters removed by unknown, but new flowers, candles and photos were already brought,
• 28.02.2024 – again many more flowers, candles, posters were brought, «the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing» Alexei Navalny», «Putin killed Navalny, Putin kills Ukrainians, who is next?»

• 01.03.2024 – funeral of Alexei Navalny, and first memorial event of people grieving for Navalny, more than 25 people, again entire postament is completely full of flowers and candles,
• 02-21.03.2024 – more and more flowers were brought,
• 22.03.2024 – flowers were set up into the baskets with water to flourish longer

• 21.04.2024 – during Antwerp maraphon many people visited the memorial,
• 21.04.2024 – the initiative group of 4 volunteers was created to maintain Navalny Memorial,
• 26.04.2024 – first people were interviewed near the memorial who supported the memorial,
• April – October 2024 – hundreds of people visited the memorial and the monument during ATV quest across Antwerp

• May 2024 – flowers and posters were put in order, tradition to clean and maintain the memorial on Mondays was established,
• 24.05.2024  – the website with the petition to commemorate Navalny in Antwerp was created

• 04.06.2024 – at Navalny’s birthday dozens of people came to the memorial to honor his memory, more flowers and candles were brought, as well as letters from children, 

• 27.07.2024 – the instagram account of Navalny Memorial was created, @navalny_plaats, 

• August 2024 – Navany Memorial attracted attention of hundreds of local people and tourists from the globe

• 16.09.2024 – tradition of Navalny Day on 16th of each month was established in aim to commemorate Navalny,
• September 2024 – acts of vandalism, unknown people regularly teared off posters and photos of Navalny from the memorial,

• Early October 2024 – journalists investigated that Alexei Navalny was poisoned in the prison, potentially in the same manner as in 2020
• 07.10.2024 – the heavy flowers’ pot was installed on the monument
• 16.10.2024 – the next Navalny Day on the Navalny Memorial, 8 months from the murder of Navalny, some local people brought new big flower installations,
• 22.10.2024 – Navalny’s book “Patriot”, memoirs and diaries from prison, was published,
• 28.10.2024 – by the decision of local authorities the memorial was rearranged to the next tree from the monument of Peter de Grote, similar as the memorial to Navalny in Amsterdam,
• 30.10.2024 – publication about Navalny Memorial in GVA,

• 05.11.2024 – Ilya Yashin, Russian politician, ally of Navalny, visited the memorial to Navalny in Amsterdam,
• 08.11.2024 – by the decision of local authorities Navalny Memorial was established on the platform in front of the monument of Peter de Grote,
• 12.11.2024 – the permanent memorial to Alexei Navalny was opened in Lisbon, Portugal with Yulia Navalnaya,
• 16.11.2024 – the next Navalny Day at the Navalny Memorial, 9 months from the murder of Alexei Navalny, almost two dozens of people came,
• 25.11.2024 – another act of vandalism at Navalny Memorial, the QR-code leading to the petition of commemoration of Navalny was stolen,
• November – December 2024 – local people continue to visit Navalny Memorial and singing the petition to commemorate Navalny in Antwerp,

• 09.12.2024 – another act of vandalism at Navalny Memorial, photos and QR-codes were stolen, new photos were attached next day,
• 13.12.2024 – another act of vandalism, photos and QR-codes were again stolen,
• 14.12.2024 – another, brutal act of vandalism, the heavy flowers’ pot was stolen with all flowers and plants in it, journalists and local influencers and authorities were informed about that,
• 15.12.2024 – event of writing letters to political prisoners in Russia
• 16.12.2024 – the next Navalny Day on Navalny Memorial, 10 months since the murder of Navalny, new concrete block with the sign «Navalny» was put on the platform of the memorial, at the same time vandals brought back the flowers’ pot,
• 23.12.2024 – Christmas decorations were added to Navalny Memorial,
• 31.12.2024 – another, the most brutal act of vandalism at Navalny Memorial, the concrete block with sign «Navalny» was crushed into pieces by unknown people, local people put it back together, traces of concrete around the square, as well as crushed Christmas decorations and candle lanterns,

• 01.01.2025 – another act of vandalism, photos of Navalny were stolen,
• 15.01.2025 – another act of vandalism, photos were stolen, lanterns were crushed,
• 16.01.2025 – the next Navalny Day at Navalny Memorial, 11 months since the murder of Navalny,
• 21.01.2025 – another act of vandalism, photos and QR-codes were stolen
• 23.01.2025 – another act of vandalism, photo of Navalny was stolen,
• 30.01.2025 – the memorial stone with sign Navalny was replaced,

• 16.02.2025 – Navalny Day, first anniversary from the death of Alexey Navalny, commemoration of Alexey Navalny in Antwerp, as well as in Brussels, at 10-00 Navalny Run across Antwerp, at 13-00 Navalny Memorial Event, more than 50 people joined us to honour the memory of Alexey Navalny, both Russians and Belgians, to read Navalny’s book «Patriot» and poetry, at 19-00 – screening of the documentary film «Navalny»,
• 20.02.2025 – another act of vandalism, all photos, posters and signs of Navalny and Navalny Memorial were covered with paint,
• 23.02.2025 – another act of vandalism, all photos and posters have been ripped off, flowers were ruined. Photos were restored, flowers were put on the plate of Navalny at Sakharov alley in Brussels
• 24.02.2025 – another act of vandalism: at night a photo of Navalny was ripped off again at the third year of full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine. More flowers were brought by people,
• 25.02.2025 –  another act of vandalism, at night between 2 and 10 am all photos and posters were ripped off. Meeting with Svetlana from the campaign Free120PZK,

• 01.03.2025 – the manifestation against war and Putin’s regime in Brussels within the common protest of Russian opposition across the world, writing letters to political prisoners, more flowers were brought by people to the memorial,
• 03.03.2025 – another act of vandalism: a food waste and poops were spilled over flowers.
• 05.03.2025 – A memorial stone with the sign Navalny was put on the Navalny Memorial for the first time,
• 06.03.2025 – another act of vandalism: between 10pm and 2am some letters of sign “Navalny” were ripped off, they left letters “a”, “n”, “a”, “l”,
• 13.03.2025 – local city guide on an excursion was telling about the memorial,
• 16.03.2025 – big memorial event due to 1 year and month from the death of Alexei Navalny. Another act of vandalism right after the event: the stone has been destroyed into pieces, flowers ruined and thrown over square, photos and posters were ripped off,
• 24.03.2025 – another act of vandalism: a sticker “запрещенные 1982» («banned 1982”) was sticker to face of Navalny on a photo,

• 02.04.2025 – flowers were brought to Navalny’s plate in Brussels,
• 07.04.2025 – visit to Navalny Memorial in Vienna,

• 24.04.2025 – another act of vandalism: grey spray was put over posters, photos, stone and sign Navalny Memorial,

• 01.05.2025 – another act of vandalism: memorial stone has been broken, alleged vandal has been caught on video and photo by people,

• 08.06.2025 – Navalny Day: Navalny Run across Antwerp of 10 km, later commemoration event where we had brought flowers, candles, portraits, had read Alexei’s book, had painted the square with chalks with signs of commemoration of Alexei, inspiration signs, signs against the war and Putin’s regime,
• 12.06.2025 – the event on writing letters to political prisoners within the common campaign June12.io  “You are not alone” in support of political prisoners in Brussels,

• between 25.06.2025 and 07.07.2025 – another act of vandalism, the memorial stone had been crushed into pieces, random people put them back together,

• 09.08.2025 – gay pride of Antwerp went right next to Navalny Memorial, dozens of people had signed the petition to commemorate Navalny,

• 16.08.2025 – monthly commemoration event within the global protest action “Putin is killer”, after – an event of writing letters to political prisoners in Russia,

• 20.08.2025 – five years ago Alexei Navalny had been poisoned by FSB-agents in Russia which led him to Germany for medical treatment and later return to Russia and imprisonment which were accompanied by mass protests, 
• 22.08.2025 (between 14:14 and 18:57) – another act of vandalism, the memorial stone was crushed again and turned over, some posters including with QR-code leading to the petition to commemorate Alexei Navalny were ripped off, 
• 24.08.2025 – another act of vandalism, all posters and photos were ripped off, 
• 27.08.2025 – new memorial stone had been installed instead of old, crushed one, after – another act of vandalism, the poster with QR-code about the petition had been ripped off, 
• 28.08.2025 – another, brutal, act of vandalism: the plastic base of the memorial had been crushed with hammers at the sign “Alexej Navalny Memorial”, photo of Alexei was cutted, 
• 29.08.2025 – another act of vandalism: at night new memorial stone had been crushed into pieces and turned over at the square,

• 01.09.2025 – new form of the Navalny Memorial made of concrete blocks attached to the ground and each other, 
• 08.09.2025 – another act of vandalism, photo of Navalny was ripped off, some flowers were stolen,

• 02.10.2025 – flowers were brought to Navalny’s and other plates at the Sakharov alley by the European Parliament in Brussels, 
• 06.10.2025 – Navalny Memorial was cleaned and refreshed on regular basis, 
• 19.10.2025 – we volunteered at the concert of Russian rap band Kasta for fundraising money for political prisoners in Russia and promoting the petition to commemorate Navalny, 
• 27.10.2025 – we co-organising the event of writing letters to political prisoners in Mechelen together with Pax Christi Vlaanderen and Amnesti International; Navalny Memorial was cleaned and refreshed on a regular basis, 
• 28.10.2025 – we co-organising the global commemoration event Returning of the Names of commemoration of victims of political repressions in USSR initiated and guided by the Memorial, in Brussels, later laying the flowers to Navalny’s and other plates at the Sakharov alley by the European Parliament, later the event of writing letters to political prisoners in Russia, 
• 29.10.2025 – we organising the same commemoration event Returning of the Names in Antwerp by the Navalny Memorial,

• 01.11.2025 – we participating at the global running action in support of political prisoners june12.io “You are not alone” and run across Antwerp 4 km starting and finishing at the Navalny Memorial, 
• 15.11.2025 – another act of vandalism, concrete blocks at the place of sign “Alexej Navalny Memorial” had been painted over by white paint and written over by signs “Peter” and “Ruzzia” (“Z” is considered as symbol of current Russian imperialistic and war-mongening ideology), 
• 16.11.2025 – monthly commemoration event, the memorial had been cleaned from the paint and restored after vandals

• 17.01.2026 – another act of vandalism, glass candles were broken, flowers were torn apart. The next day it was restored,

• 15.02.2026 – prior to anniversary of the death of Alexei Navalny the banner with Alexei and temporary memorial had been installed in front of the Russian embassy in Brussels together with activists from Russian Solidarity in Belgium, 
• 16.02.2026 – the second anniversary of the death of Alexei Navalny, flowers were brought to the memorial in Antwerp as well as to the temporary memorial in Brussels and on the plate of Alexei on the Sakharov alley next to the European Parliament, 
• 21.02.2026 – big commemoration program of Navalny Antwerp: starting from Navalny Run at 10:00 of 5km across Antwerp, then commemoration event and presentation of the project of new memorial to Alexei in the form of the bronze book with shape of Alexei and his phrase “the only thing is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing”. A few dozen people have come to commemorate Navalny. Later we wrote letters to political prisoners in Russia in a cafe and discussed the project of the memorial.
